Catalina Dermenjian is an aspiring Cellist, based in NSW. She has studied at Wollongong High School of the Performing Arts(2017) and Wollongong Conservatorium of Music(2016-2018), continuing her studies in Arts, Drama, Multimedia and Music. Catalina has always been passionate and creative, her life is surrounded by art. She is currently completing her degree in Bachelor of Music Performance majoring in Cello at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music(2018-) with her teacher Mr Georg Pedersen, one of Australia’s foremost Cello teachers and performers.
Her work includes participating in Steel City Strings Orchestra (APRA AMCOS Award Winner), Sydney Con Symphony, Sydney Con big choir, String Con Orchestra, Early Music Ensemble, chamber music and other Solo works. Catalina has worked with internationally known composers like Elena Kats-Chernin, Ann Carr-Boyd, Gerard Brophy, Marcel Khalife, Rami Khalife and many others.
