Catherine attained her of Master of Music degree through the University of Newcastle majoring in violin performance. She is a passionate teacher who develops teaching strategies tailored specifically to each student's learning needs - be it for leisure, fun, AMEB examinations (with excellent results), auditions, ensembles or general music education. Catherine has been teaching the violin and piano at her studio in Charlestown over 20 years. She has worked for the Upper Hunter Conservatorium of Music, St Philip's Christian College - both Waratah and Port Stephens Campuses. She currently teaches at Macquarie College and Heritage College Lake Macquarie. She is an active member of Opera Hunter, and Lake Macquarie Philharmonic Orchestra as first violin/concertmaster.
