Hi, I am Mr. Chai Zhe Shen and I am a qualified violin and piano teacher. Besides also a concertmaster and principal of violinist in a lot orchestra across in Malaysia. I have been . I can speak a lot of languages such as English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay fluently. I teach around Perth. My rates are $35/half hour or $70/hour.

Here is a quick bio of my musical experience:

I started my musical journey at the age of 5 after being given a violin and piano lesson under my mother. I quickly grew to love the violin and any other musical instrument I could get my hands on. I did violin lessons for 11 years and piano 10 years. I had completed my 8th grade ABRSM exam with a Distinction when I was 16 and 5th grade (teacher's qualified grade) YAMAHA academy when i was 15. From the age of 14, I also participated as a 1st violinist in orchestras in Kuala Lumpur.

I have always be responsible and loved getting creative with my music. On my 15 I have become the principal of violinist in my orchestra, and an assistant concertmaster at the age of 16. I have been a part of several orchestras, bands and various musical acts and would love to share my knowledge and experience with any aspiring musicians.

I believe it’s very important for any aspiring musician to learn beyond just their main instrument and be well grounded in all the main aspects of music. As a teacher, I aim to make my lessons as enjoyable and worthwhile as possible. I like to have a balance between the technical exercises that improve their playing and the fun part of inspiring a child’s natural creativity for interpreting and creating songs. I aim to teach my students to be knowledgeable and capable as well as help inspire them to grow a love for learning, performing and creating music.
