Charlie Sdraulig holds a Doctorate from Stanford University, where he lectured and tutored composition, music theory, and intermedia. Currently, he is a Teaching Associate at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, University of Melbourne and Monash University.
As a piano teacher, Charlie has extensive experience at numerous schools in Australia and England, where he instructed beginners and diploma students alike. He studied piano with Stephen McIntyre and holds an Licentiate Diploma (AMEB).
His music has been presented at numerous festivals internationally, including Ear to the Ground (Belgium), Kalv Festivalen (Sweden), MATA (USA), Schloss Solitude Sommerfest (Germany), and SPOR (Denmark). His works have been performed and commissioned by major soloists and ensembles: Apartment House (UK), ELISION (Australia), Ensemble SurPlus (Germany), Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (Australia), Spektral Quartet (USA), Adam Tendler (USA), Heather Roche (Canada), Weston Olencki (USA), Zubin Kanga (Australia), and many others.
Charlie is represented by the Australian Music Centre.
