Trumpet lessons

I'm a school music teacher with experience in primary schools, high schools, and special education. I have taught the Classroom Music Curriculum (Prep-Year 12), the Queensland Instrumental Music Curriculum (Band), and the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) syllabi.

During my time at the Queensland Conservatorium, I was mentored by professional artists such as Sarah Butler, Richard Madden, and Mark Bremner. I also studied conducting and various brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments.

Whether your goals are for hobby, high school auditions, tertiary preparation, or examinations, I teach students of all ages and abilities. I am patient and confident in helping you or your child from day one of their musical journey, having helped many beginners start in school band. I can also teach piano and music theory to complement your trumpet studies.

I’m taking on students for weekly 45‑ or 60‑minute lessons, either working towards exams or for dedicated recreational study.
