Charlotte Hayes – Music teacher M.Mus (perf) L.T.C.L. F.T.C.L. L.R.S.M. Dip. Tchg • Though training as a classical musician on cello in N.Z., I offer private tuition on several instruments including: Violin, viola, cello, double bass, classical piano, recorders, clarinet and singing for leisure. These lessons are administered at my private teaching studio in Boambee East 2452. • My extensive career in music includes working as an orchestral musician (often as Principal cellist) in the N.Z.S.O., Christchurch Symphony and Dunedin Sonfonia • Alongside this employment, I was the Director of Music in several N.Z. High Schools. From this period in my career, I involved student bands and choirs to compete in Australia and Hawai’i where placings of first and second were awarded. • From twenty years of peripatetic experience in N.Z. , I was offered a position at the Armidale Conservatorium as cello teacher in 2011. • Prior to establishing my studio on the Coast, I also taught at BDC and Bellingen High School as cello/bass tutor. • My teaching programme is based on the AMEB syllabus through which all students are encouraged to discover their passion for music and develop the art of performance.
