What can I expect of lessons?
Professional tuition catering to your individual needs, designed to assist you in achieving your goals. Charlotte is dedicated to studying vocal pedagogy and bettering herself as a voice teacher for the rest of her life. She strives to keep up to date with current teaching practices. You can expect fun lessons in a relaxed environment.
Where are lessons located?
Lessons are at Charlotte’s home studio in Red Hill. Please phone or email for more details.
On what days are lessons?
The studio is open six days a week (Monday to Saturday) and times are flexible. Please get in early before all places are taken though!
Do you give lessons via Skype?
Yes! Please phone or email for more details.
What ages do you teach?
All ages! From early childhood lessons to senior choral groups and everyone in between!
Do I need to have any experience?
None at all! For anyone who is nervous about singing in front of another person, Charlotte completely understands (she may herself have a fear of public speaking!). Lessons are relaxed and can move as slowly or as quickly as you like. There is no pressure, just fun and self development.
How long will it take me to improve?
This all depends on the individual. Charlotte believes that the best singers are not necessarily those with natural talent, but those with a good attitude who work hard. If you come to lessons with an open mind, try your best and most importantly have fun, you will definitely see improvement. The more practice that happens outside of lessons, the more improvement you will see!
Do you do workshops or group lessons?
Absolutely. Charlotte offers individual workshops catering to the group. Workshops on vocal technique, group singing, song-writing, kids workshops and more are available. Please phone or email to book.
Do you prepare students for exams and auditions?
Yes. Charlotte has helped many students prepare for AMEB vocal exams, auditions, talent quests and recitals. Charlotte’s goal is to help you achieve your goals. Her main priority though, is that students always have fun in lessons and feel a sense of accomplishment, while building self confidence.
Ever since I was little I have wanted to sing and to teach music. I am so grateful to be sharing this dream of mine with you! I am often asked by students; “Do you think that I could be a singer/musician?” and the answer is always a resounding “YES!”. I truly believe that anyone with the right attitude can learn to sing or play well. I am passionate about helping people of any age and experience level to find their musical path and achieve their goals. Music is such an important part of being human, and everyone has something special to offer!
