Hello! I have been teaching flute since 2012 to all levels and ages.
I am an experienced and dedicated soloist and chamber musician with performance experience in Australia, Italy and China. I graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelors of Music (Performance) with first class Honours, an Australian Postgraduate Award, and the Corrina Taylor Memorial Prize for highest performance marks in my year in 2016 (See General details for a more detailed biography). I am due to graduate from a Masters of Music (Performance) in March 2018.
My own teaching style is modelled on the many wonderful teachers I have learned from; James Kortum (Lecturer in flute, Sydney Conservatorium), Aldo Baerto (Principal flute, Royal Flemish Orhestra) and Alison Mitchell (Principal flute, Scottish Chamber orchestra). I can lead you through AMEB exams, HSC music exams, or other performance goals as you wish. I also offer practical exercises of body-mapping, movement analysis and effective practice methods to all my students, based on my ongoing study of Alexander Technique.
