Christine received her early keyboard training in London and Canberra. She graduated with Distinction in Harpsichord from the Sydney Conservatorium in 1979, before returning to Europe for further studies in Germany and Belgium. She worked throughout Europe for over 12 years as a professional soloist on Harpsichord and Fortepiano, doing regular concert tours, solo CD recordings, radio broadcasts, specialized research and university teaching. She has performed in many countries - including numerous concerts in Mozart's house during the Salzburg Festival, Austria - to great critical acclaim.
Since returning to Australia Christine has given many successful concerts, broadcasts, lectures, masterclasses and recordings. She has taught at the ANU School of Music, Melbourne University and Sydney Conservatorium, and given lectures and Masterclasses for the Music Teachers' Association in Canberra and interstate.
Christine offers lessons in her spacious private studio, which is equipped with a unique collection of modern and historic keyboard instruments. Students of all ages and levels can study classical and modern music on piano and / or digital piano, and have the opportunity to experience earlier periods of music on harpsichord and fortepiano. All tastes and abilities are catered for in a friendly, fun and stimulating atmosphere, and Christine provides many opportunities for her students to perform. Those who wish to sit for optional Piano and Theory Exams are thoroughly prepared at every level, and enjoy a consistent record of excellent achievement.
