Hello! My name is Cindy and I have been learning and performing classical piano for 15+ years. The musical education I share with my students values artistic appreciation, self-motivation and lifelong learning.

  • Masterclass performer at the Australasian Piano Pedagogy Conference (2017)
  • Grade 5 AMEB Musicianship High Distinction (2020)
  • MTASA Norman Sellick Memorial Prize Recipient (2016)
  • MTASA Miriam Hyde Junior Award 2nd Prize (2017)
  • Assisting Artist (piano solo selected by audition) for the Public Schools Music Festival (2016 & 2017)
  • AMEB 7th Grade Piano Prize (2017)
  • Multiple prize winner at Adelaide Eisteddfod Society (2014-2020)
  • Regular community music performer (2019-present)

Lesson Details: open to enquiry

  • I work constructively and enthusiastically with piano students of diverse abilities, ages and musical backgrounds

  • Engaging learning environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, develop their musical style and expression, and adopt a motivated learning approach by pursuing mini-goals each week

  • Able to teach from the AMEB syllabus and prepare students for practical exams

  • Lesson content and structure tailored to the preference of the student - possible focuses include technical work, music theory / musicianship, piano for leisure, aural training and sight reading

  • Lesson duration ranges between 30-90min
