Claire Weatherhead

Claire Weatherhead is an experienced violinist and teacher. She is currently studying her Masters in Music in Germany. In Australia she studied at the Australian National Academy of Music and graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Music (Hons) in 2018. Additionally, she holds her AMusA and LMusA which she obtained whilst at school.

Claire has years of teaching experience both privately and in schools. She enjoys working with students of all ages and abilities. Since 2020 much of her teaching has taken place online, allowing her to continue working with students in Australia while she studies in Germany. Teaching online presents unique challenges and Claire has developed techniques to most effectively utilise this teaching method. This offers immense flexibility for the student as well as provides opportunities for students in more remote locations.

She has many years of experience privately tutoring people of all ages and levels, with students following both AMEB exam pathways and simply playing fun. She is extremely passionate about music and enthusiastic about teaching and sharing this passion others.
