Hi!
I am an Irish Heritage, Australian guitarist & Songwriter.

I studied a Bachelor Of Music (Jazz) at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University.

Im just beginning to take on students in the Sawtell and surrounding areas and can adapt to a learning style that best suits you. Teaching students of all ages.

Over the past 10 years I have performed extensively at festivals and venues including Woodford Folk Festival [QLD], Dark Mofo Festival [TAS], Small Halls Tour [Outback/ regional QLD], Splendour In The Grass [NSW], Dorrigo Folk Festival [NSW], Tivoli Theatre [QLD], Princess Theatre [QLD], National Folk Festival [ACT], River Folk Festival [VIC], Culluleraine Festival [S.A], Palm Creek Folk Festival [FNQ], Bello Winter Music Festival[NSW], Oz Manouche Festival [QLD], Qpac [QLD]

I enjoy teaching basic fundamentals of guitar to beginners, honing in on specific interests and working towards a stylistic goal.
For this, I can draw from artists or preferably cater to the music taste of the student.

For intermediate and advanced players, working together with improvisation, composition, rhythm, harmony and melody in mind helps develop more extended techniques found in jazz, blues and traditional music.

I have a large interest in traditional music, primarily, Irish, Bluegrass and old time styles. I'm currently learning violin to gain a broader understanding of melody and its use within these genres.
I'm also extremely passionate about songwriting, the process of writing music and love working with students to who are interested in this for themselves.
