Corban Chapple

I am an Honours student at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Edith Cowan University (ECU), studying Contemporary Voice. I offer vocal lessons over Zoom to students of all abilities with a focus on developing vocal technique for contemporary styles like R&B, Soul, Funk, Pop, Gospel, and Jazz. I can assist in areas such as:

• Developing a kinaesthetic awareness of the body when singing in order to achieve a healthy and sustainable foundation in technique.

• Developing a nuanced understanding of pitch, harmony, and rhythm in contemporary styles.

• Working on original songwriting and composition, including constructing chords and progressions, writing for different instruments, and using different music technologies and Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs).

• Preparing for vocal exams and/or auditions.
