10 years of experience teaching children and adults of all ages and experience levels. Lessons are always tailored to the individual, whether your goal is to play a favourite piece of music, use music as an escape from the stresses of life, help teach you or your child discipline, or hopefully one day study music professionally.

I have a Bachelor of Music (Performance) from the Queensland Conservatorium where I also studied courses in music research, pedagogy and aural skills.

I teach Flute, Piccolo, Piano and Music Theory. Teaching music is a passion where I aim to work in as best as possible with my students schedules.

My life in music began at the age of 5 on the Piano, and progressed to studying Flute and Piccolo at university. Piano has remained a passion of mine where I completed various AMEB grades.

Over the years, I have held various positions in ensembles such as the QLD Youth Orchestra's, convenor of the Brisbane Woodwind and Brass Eisteddfod, and musical/ballet ensembles around Brisbane. My experience includes recordings, auditions, volunteer work, eisteddfods, and teaching some children with disabilities. I have also traveled to China for the world expo in Shanghai and played in the Shanghai Conservatorium of Music (broadcasted live on television).

Over the years, I have had lessons with a variety of well renowned performers, such as Dr Karen Lonsdale, Gerhard Mallon, Michael Hallit, Patrick Nolan, Kate Lawson, and Alexis Kenny.

Due to my extensive experience in the music education sector, I am knowledgeable in various youth music programs, such as SHEP, MOST, Creative Generations State Schools on Stage, the Young Conservatorium Ensemble Program and the McGregor Summerschool Music Camp (Toowoomba) etc.

Over the years, my experience has also included successfully preparing students for university exams, competitions, ensemble placements etc.

I have continuously strived to give my students the best, and as such have attended musical development programs such as summer school work shops, AMEB syllabus training, camps, and master classes with renowned performers such as Trevor Wye.

Flute lessons are $50/hr. Piano and Music theory lessons are $50/hr. Depending on the circumstances and area, I am happy to travel to neighbouring suburbs to teach at your home.
