I will help students learn the role of a drummer, and all tools necessary to help them achieve this.
Lessons will most often begin with foundational studies - Rudiments, counting, reading, groove playing and rhythm recognition. Application of these ideas will follow, using specific music of each examples, or playing with music, and learning to use what is musically appropriate.
I teach form a number of books, and I highly recommend that students purchase these whenever possible, in their PHYSICAL formats, for ease of access, and continued practice outside of the lessons.
I believe students will learn something unique from me due to the mentors that I have had, that still coach me on a regular basis in their approach. I believe there aren't as many drummers out there like them that there could be, so a fresh, unique perspective to the instrument is what I like to offer.
