Cristina Vaszilcsin

With over 30 years of professional experience as both a performer and teacher, I specialise in classical violin tuition for students of all ages and levels — from beginners to advanced examination and scholarship candidates.
I began my violin studies in Europe before completing my tertiary education in the USA, where I earned my Master’s degree. As an active professional violinist, I perform regularly with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra (SSO) and Opera Australia (OA). This international training combined with ongoing high-level performance keeps my teaching fresh, inspiring, and grounded in the highest orchestral and solo standards.
I run a successful private violin studio with a proven track record of excellent AMEB results across all grades, including many students achieving AMusA (Associate in Music) diplomas. My students also consistently win music scholarships to leading private schools and participate successfully in Eisteddfods.
In 2026–2027 I teach online via multiple platforms including MOOZ, Zoom, FaceTime and others at $80 per hour, making this high-quality classical violin tuition accessible to students across Australia.
Whether you are preparing for AMEB exams, pursuing tertiary auditions, refining technique and musicality, or simply enjoying the violin as a rewarding hobby, I offer patient, structured, and encouraging lessons tailored to each student’s goals.
I look forward to helping you or your child develop a strong technical foundation, expressive playing, and a lifelong love of music.
