I have been teaching drum students of all ages and abilities for almost 24 years now. I teach from my fully air-conditioned home studio at Mudgeeraba on the Gold Coast. I am a drum-kit and percussion teacher at a number of private schools in South East Queensland including Marymount College, AB Patterson & The Southport School (TSS) on the Gold Coast and Moreton Bay Boys College in Brisbane.

I have taught students the examination syllabus for leading curriculum, including Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB - CPM 1-4) and AMEB Rock School.

I teach a range of drumming disciplines including drum-set and percussion. I have been teaching drumkit since 1999. Most of my students are in year 1-12, (school age) while some of my students are older more advanced students who are looking for direction and assistance in taking their playing to another level. This can be just for the pleasure in working and improving at something, or to develop skills and techniques for specific projects. Just like any other discipline, working with a qualified, experienced professional teacher or coach can make the process of learning and growing as a player and musician so much more enjoyable and rewarding.

My home teaching studio is professionally equipped. As well as 2 full acoustic drumsets I have a library of sheet music, music and drumming magazine publications, CDs, DVDs and biographies of great musicians. All these resources can assist you to get the best out of your lessons. I also have a PA set up to enable us to work out your favourite song and work with play-along tracks.

I teach students of all ages from beginner to advanced with a very friendly and patient manner. Lessons are conducted on a one-on-one basis. This means the lesson time is focused entirely on the student and what they need to learn and grow.
