For the last 18 years Dan has been playing and teaching professionally, appearing at festivals in France, New Zealand and with trios in the United States. He has worked and recorded albums with well known New Zealand musicians Fiona Pears and Harry Harrison, played keyboards for Hayley Westenra's PBS DVD release, performed with his own trio at the Christchurch International Jazz Festival, and with the Jazz quintet Glass Moon at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival in 2015. As well as having several residencies with vocal trios, his work as a jazz pianist on cruise ships has taken him to New York, Hawaii and the Caribbean.
Dan is a Fellow of both the Trinity College London, and the Royal Schools of Music London (ABRSM), having passed the highest performance exam offered by both boards, and has a First Class Honours Performance degree in jazz performance piano. He recently recorded his first solo album: The Goldberg Variations.
