Dana is a current Bachelor of Music student at the University of Melbourne. She attended Presbyterian Ladies' College and graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School.
Dana is currently under the tutelage of Richard Narroway. She has benefited from the mentorship of Josephine Vains and David Berlin, principal cellist of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Dana completed her Associate of Music Diploma in 2021 and her Licentiate of Music Diploma in 2022. She is a keen chamber music collaborator, having performed with the Melbourne String Ensemble and been a finalist in the VCASS Chamber Music Competition. Dana has participated in the Australian String Quartet Residency, the Australian Chamber Orchestra Intensive, and the Mimir Chamber Music Festival (Australia). In 2022, she was selected to participate in Victorian Opera's production of 'Il Mago di Oz' and in 2025, Dana served as principal cellist in the RondoFest Malaysia and Thailand tour. Dana has enriched her musical journey by participating in masterclasses, such as those with Elina Faskhi (MSO) and Zoe Knighton (Flinders Quartet). Her performances, both as a soloist and in chamber music, have resonated in various venues around Melbourne and on live broadcasts, such as 3MBS FM. Dana was honoured to be a recipient of the Bachelor of Music Entrance Grant, Corinna D’Hage Mayer String Scholarship, the Liselotte ‘Lilo’ Nassau Cello Scholarship and the Otti Veit Violoncello Scholarship at the University of Melbourne.
Dana is a cellist who has a great passion for both music and teaching. Lessons are structured to enhance confidence and proficiency in cello and music theory as well as preparing for exams, such as AMEB.
