Daniel Penberthy

  • Currently studying Bachelor of Music (Jazz Saxophone)

I am a passionate musician and current student at the Elder Conservatorium of Music studying a Bachelor of Music (Jazz Performance).

Alongside studying, I am a casual saxophone tutor at St. Aloysius College.

I also play regular shows in my band Slippery People! We play a unique brand of funky pop and have played shows at local venues such as The Gov, The Jade, Sugar and The Metro alongside beloved local acts like WANDERERS, Mum's Favourite, Tonix and Hey Harriet.

Songwriting, arranging and playing in Slippery has massively improved my skills in playing, improvising and writing for saxophone in a contemporary context, which is something I am incredibly passionate about and eager to teach future students.

This combined with my Jazz studies at the Elder Conservatorium has given me a wide breadth of musical experience that I would love to share with anyone interested in my tuition.
