Daniel started playing the piano from a young age and took up the flute in his teens. He obtained the AMusA and LmusA with Jocelyn Edey Fazzone (Federal Examiner, AMEB) in flute and the AmusA and LMusA in piano with Erica Booker. He then undertook an Honours year with Elizabeth Koch (OBE) at the Elder Conservatorium of Music, Adelaide. Amongst other things, Daniel also studies singing and his teachers include Dorothy Mewes (Jo Estil method), Dawn Walsh (understudy to the late Joan Sutherland) and Patricia Johnston (Opera Australia). He is currently studying singing with Jenny Vergison (Alexander Technique Teacher). He has had over 18 years experience entering piano, flute & singing students for AMEB exams with successful results. He is also an active accompanist, specialising in all instrumental and vocal repertoire. Daniel has also undertaken various acting courses and has played lead roles in musicals. He obtained a diploma in Musical Theatre at NIDA. He has taught in many different schools including Epping and Beecroft primary schools and Loreto Normanhurst. Daniel was a specialist Eurythmy Accompanist for Lorien Novalis, Dural.

Recent studies have been undertaken with Janet Davies, specialising in the Alexander Technique (Sydney Conservatorium) and flute lessons with Rosamund Plummer (Principal Piccolo, Sydney Symphony Orchestra) and Geoff Collins (Principal Flute, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra)
