Studio Director David Butler is a Full Time professional Vocal Coach based in Brunswick, Melbourne, Australia with over 10 years private coaching experience. The David Butler Studio is a professional and nurturing environment, respecting individual goals and aspirations while establishing strong, reliable and sustainable vocal technique.

Working across Musical Theatre, Contemporary and Classical styles; David also works with Singer/Songwriters and is not limited by style or genre. The universal foundations of a healthy singing technique are developed, then extended towards building control over the many colours of each individual’s range.

David has experience in many areas of performance including Musical Theatre, Opera, Oratorio, Stage Theatre, Concert and Recital performance. David also regularly coaches students through High School, Pre-Tertiary and AMEB examinations.

David moved his studio to Melbourne, Victoria from Launceston, Tasmania in 2009 to further his vocal studies at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) completing his Bachelor of Music Performance (Classical Voice). His studies also include Music History & Appreciation as well as Performance Psychology and Stagecraft. He has studied music in many facets, with particular focus on Voice and Piano. David's vast personal performance experience and 10 years private coaching history allows for valuable insight into performance, music appreciation and performance psychology.

David also coaches a number of short courses at the University of Melbourne, Faculty of the Victorian College of the Arts.
