Simply Music is a remarkable piano/keyboard program that has beginning students playing great-sounding pieces immediately – from their first lessons. Recently featured on national radio and TV, this program produces unprecedented results in terms of how easily and quickly a student learns and in terms of the quantity and quality of the pieces they learn. Traditional piano lessons require students to learn how to read music in order to play. This ‘read first, play later’ approach is slow and frustrating and far too many students give up or never acquire the ability to play well. In reality, expecting students to read music before they can play is like expecting tolddlers to read before they have learned to talk!! In contrast, Simply Music focuses on the joy and satisfaction of immediately playing great-sounding music. Reading is introduced after the student has developed a strong connection to the piano and has a large repetoire of a variety of styles of music. Gone is the need to endure years of lessons, boring practice and relentless hours of scales and drills. This program employs a unique ‘hands-on’ approach that feels very natural and can be easily understood by children and adults of any age. Simply Music teaches blues, contemporary, classical, jazz, accompaniment, improvisation and composition.
