Diego Villalta is a professional full-time guitarist, very active in the local scene. As a teacher, he has been well sought after and has taught some great Melbourne musicians in their own right. Diego is committed to seeing that each student reaches their highest potential and has had a wide variety of experience ranging from young children to the elderly, from successful professionals to the learning impaired, from uni students to families.
Diego specialises in:
steel and nylon acoustic guitar
music theory and aural skills
composition and arranging
audition and exam preparation
The teaching studio is very accessible by public transport as well as car, being conveniently located in the heart of Melbourne's CBD. Though students need their own instrument at home for practicing, guitars are available during the lessons making it easier to attend without the need to carry equipment - particularly useful for students attending after work/uni or during breaks.
Lessons include professional handouts and worksheets (paper or electronic), and content is tailored to suit all skill level, musical interests and goals. Diego holds a current WWC and has experience with AMEB, ANZAC and VCE music programs.
