I am an enthusiastic and results oriented teacher passionate about education and music. I have had many years of experience teaching violin to students of various ages and abilities, and have studied pedagogy the Queensland Conservatorium. I teach all styles of music and am confident in preparing students for exams, concerts, auditions and orchestras.
$30 for half an hour, $45 for 45 minutes, $60 for an hour. Very happy to travel for lessons at your home for a $5 fee.
Donica is a second-year student at the Queensland Conservatorium studying under Michele Walsh. She began her violin studies as a six-year-old in Canberra with Gillian Bailey Graham, and later Anne Horton and Rowan Harvey-Martin. She received scholarships from the Wesley Music Foundation and won multiple prizes as a chamber musician and soloist. In 2016 Donica won the Canberra Youth Orchestra’s Concerto Competition and performed Mendelssohn’s violin concerto with the CYO. She has played in the Australian Youth Orchestra and the Canberra International Music Festival as a Young Artist, and currently plays in the Canberra Symphony Orchestra. Since arriving in Brisbane, Donica has received an audition bursary, and has won the Griffith Award for Academic Excellence. She is also recipient of the Boustred violin, kindly on loan to her by Maggie and Mike Goodfellow.
