Dr. Emma Mak is a UK and Australia registered Music Therapist and a Registered Counsellor. She was a Special Education Teacher before becoming a Therapist. In addition to working with clients with developmental needs, Dr. Mak is particularly passionate about dementia care and stroke rehabilitation. Her doctoral research integrated music therapy concepts into pastoral care for individuals living with dementia.
Dr. Mak has also served as a Clinical Supervisor for the University of Melbourne’s Music Therapy program and has held teaching roles as a lecturer, research collaborator, and visiting lecturer at various universities and theological seminaries.
