Offering classical violin lessons for all ages and skill levels.

Started learning violin at 3 years old, trained in the Russian method of playing, as well as gypsy violin. Also achieved grade 8 piano and classical singing.

Accepted into the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin School of Music (UK) at 8 years of age. Only violin candidate to be awarded LMusA with Distinction in Victoria in 2005. Winner of most local violin competitions in Victoria, named Harry Hutchens violinist of the year in 2006. Awarded multiple music/academic scholarships at several prestigious private schools in Melbourne (Melbourne Girls’ Grammar, MLC, Ruyton). Successful in all of the above while balancing academic success, being accepted to study medicine at Monash University.

Over a decade of experience in teaching violin, with students who have gone on to be successful at violin competitions, AMEB exams of all levels, and scholarship applications. I teach music theory concurrently and those wishing to go on and complete theory examinations can do so under my tutelage.

Focus is on building a solid foundation for technique and musicality, which is essential to progress. I will cater lessons to all ages and levels of commitment- be it learning for enjoyment, or aiming for solo performance, examinations and beyond.

I am also able to offer guidance in time management skills to younger students who struggle to balance their musical and other extra-curricular studies with academic work, having done so successfully myself.
