Ed graduated in 2017 with a Master of Music (Performance Teaching) degree in the University of Melbourne, and holds a Diploma in Music (Piano) from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore.

Throughout his career as a musician, Ed has enjoyed working with people through ensemble work and education. He has extensive experience accompanying vocalists for exams and competitions, directing choir rehearsals, and accompanying various instrumentalists for AMEB exams.

Ed was named the best accompanist in a vocal competition in 2015 while studying in Singapore. In 2017, Ed performed as a guest artist with Songmakers Australia, a premiere Melbourne-based vocal ensemble, in their concert, “Gods and Legends”. He is the current recipient of the Young Songmaker Development Program 2018, and will be honing his skills as an accompanist/vocal coach with esteemed pianist and musical director, Andrea Katz. He was also awarded the ‘Lieder Accompaniment Award’ in the 2018 Melbourne International Festival of Lieder and Art Song.

Ed has extensive experience working with musicians of all levels, having worked with AMEB exam candidates, conservatory vocalists and instrumentalists. He has also performed in duet, chamber, choral and orchestral settings.

Rehearsal prices

Preliminary to Grade 4 – $65 per hour
Grade 5 to Grade 7 – $70 per hour
Grade 8 and above – $75 per hour
