Eleanore Low

Eleanore Low is a violist and instrumental music teacher who graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a Master of Music Studies. She has taught at numerous schools in Sydney and Melbourne, including Melbourne Youth Orchestras (ensembles and Summer School), and also maintains her own private studio.

Eleanore has been actively involved in a range of outreach music programs, mentoring and inspiring young musicians through initiatives such as the Sydney Conservatorium’s New Northern Tour, the Northern Rivers Youth Orchestra Camp in Lismore, NSW, and the Mid North Coast Strings Alliance in Port Macquarie, NSW.

She teaches students of all ages and ability levels, tailoring her approach to suit each individual’s needs. Drawing on a range of technical methods, repertoire, and syllabi, Eleanore believes that every student is capable of learning music and deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Expanding her commitment to music education, Eleanore works at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School as Education Support Staff (Music Administration), contributing to the development of the next generation of young artists.

As a freelance violist, Eleanore has performed with a variety of orchestras and chamber ensembles, including the Australian Youth Orchestra, University of Sydney Graduate Choir Orchestra, Opera Projects Sydney, Sydney Contemporary Orchestra, Royal Melbourne Philharmonic, Melbourne Opera, The Impossible Orchestra, and Australian International Productions.
