Ella Broome is a Lyric Coloratura Soprano who completed a Bachelor of Music (Vocal Performance) at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. In 2012 she was awarded the most promising vocalist and received 3rd place for the Open Vocal section in the Australian Concerto and Vocal competition.
In 2016 she played the character Marjanah in Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Victoria’s production Chu Chin Chow. In 2018 she played the role Giannetta in the comic opera The Elixir of Love (L’elisir d’amore), and was a Handmaid in the Australian opera Premiere of the Handmaid’s Tale, with Gertrude Opera Company. As well as singing, Ella is a pianist (Honors for Cert. of Performance). She teaches piano and voice. Additional to the student learning singing or piano she makes sure they develop a strong grasp of musical theory too. Ella teaches each student in a way that suits them based on their personality! She is a passionate and skilled music teacher.
