Russian-born Elizaveta Laskova is one of the most exciting young violinists of her generation combining a truly impressive and enviable technique with a stunning stage presence.
Born in Moscow in 1990 to a very artistic family (mother, prima Ballerina, Bolshoi and father, theater director and composer), Elizaveta began violin studies at the age of seven in the Tchaikovsky Music School under Professor Sergey Kravchenko quickly winning prizes at numerous violin competitions including First Prize at the 4th International Togliatti Competition; Third Prize at the 3rd Young violinist competition (Ekaterinburg) and most importantly, second prize at the 4th International violin competition in Novisibirsk, from which world-famous teacher Zakhar Bron invited her to study in Madrid.
Winning a generous fully-funded scholarship from the Albeniz
Foundation, Ms. Laskova entered Bron's class at the Escuela Superior de Musica, Reina Sofia, Madrid in 2004 for what would become seven years of exceptional study. During this period Ms. Laskova had the opportunity to work under some of the worlds leading musicians including Igor Ozim,Maurisio Fuks, Esther Perény, Ana Chumachenko and Leonidas Kavakos.
She served as Concert-Master of the Feixenet Symphony orchestra, working with such internationally recognized conductors as Jesus Lopez-Cobos, Zubin Mehta, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Lorin Maazel and A. Ros Marba.
Ms Laskova started her teaching career from 2011 with Madrid
Philarmonic school of music in Spain, her students have achieved high score from exams, and some of them has been awarded for international prices. She believed strongly in shaping a lesson around each student individuality, with emphasis on good fundamental technique and musicianship.
As a soloist she has plays regularly with the Orquestra Santa Cecilia, Madrid as well the Orchestra RF (Turkey) and as a recitalist and guest concert master she has played throughout Europe (France, Italy,Germany, Greece, Switzerland and Spain) as well as Brazil and Israel.
She also plays regularly with the opera orchestra of the Teatro Real, Madrid, the National Orchestra of Spain and the Palau de les Arts, Valencia.
A passionate chamber musician, she is regularly invited to International music festivals including Golden Ferry (Sochi, Russia), International Festival of Classical Music, Parga (Greece) as well as playing at the Economic Forum in Davos.
Ms Laskova plays on a Leman violin made in 1911. She undertook one year of professional studies at Manhattan School of Music under Prof. Lucie Robert beginning in fall 2015.
