Emile Ryjoch is a freelance, award-winning musician from Adelaide, South Australia. Born into a musical family, music has been part of his life since the very beginning. Today, he is one of Adelaide’s most in-demand performers, appearing regularly across a wide range of ensembles.
He has worked in high-profile shows with artists and ensembles such as the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Michael Feinstein, Kate Ceberano, John Foreman, Eddie Perfect, Ali McGregor and Em Rusciano. In 2018, he performed with the Charlie Rosen Broadway Big Band at Michael Feinstein’s 54/Below in New York City (attended by Tina Fey), and has appeared at Rockwood Music Hall (NYC), The Basement (Sydney), and the Adelaide 500 Main Stage.
Alongside performing, Emile is a passionate educator, teaching privately from Flagstaff Hill and throughout Adelaide schools. His students have gained entry into selective music programs at Marryatville, Brighton, and the James Morrison Academy of Music.
In 2016, he received the President’s Award from the Southern Jazz Club and was recognised by the Helpmann Academy as the Top Undergraduate Saxophone Student. He holds a Bachelor of Music (Jazz Performance, First Class Honours) from the Elder Conservatorium of Music.
