About the Teacher:
Emily is an Accredited Suzuki Violin teacher with 20 years playing and performing experience, and 8 years Teaching experience with students of all ages.
She has completed Certificate III in Suzuki Violin Teaching which provides a thorough course with a combination of music pedagogy training, understanding of child-centred learning, and valuable teaching experience with a number of Sydney's music teachers.
She loves working with children and adult students to develop beautiful tone, technique and musical sensitivity through the tried and tested Suzuki method.
Emily's playing and performing experience includes performing with:
Sydney University Symphony Orchestra
Blue Mountains Concert Society as a soloist
Penrith Symphony Orchestra
Co-Principle violinist and soloist with the Blue Mountains Orchestra
The string ensemble, Bowquet
Parramatta String Players (Mentored by the Australian Chamber Orchestra)
Performance and high achievement in HSC Music 2 and Music Extension
