Emma Richardson

  • Bachelor of Music (Honours - First Class) (Classical Performance) - University of Adelaide

My name is Emma and I am a violinist with a Honour's Degree in Classical Performance (first class honours) at the University of Adelaide’s Elder Conservatorium. I thoroughly enjoy sharing my love and knowledge of violin with students of all ages and experience levels.

I teach over 50 violin and viola students each week and work across five schools in Adelaide full-time, as well as teaching after-school at my home, and regularly performing as a freelance violinist in Adelaide, interstate, and internationally.
I direct several string ensembles at these schools, performing regularly both at school events and publicly, and also work as part of several String Immersion classroom programs.

I have 18 years of musical experience and education, including attending a Special Interest Music School and now holding a tertiary qualification. I was the recipient of the Eugene Alderman Violin Prize during my study.
