Eugenie Teychenne

Eugenie is a violinist, teacher and composer. After completing her Bachelor of Music degree at Melbourne University, Eugenie worked in many professional orchestras, special highlights being performances with the Bolshoi Ballet and the World Stars Ballet Company on their visits to Australia. She also played in numerous Music Theatre productions such as the Melbourne seasons of Les Miserables (Co-Leader) and The Phantom of the Opera at The Princess Theatre.

Music education has been an important aspect of Eugenie's life since the day she saw the first touring group of Suzuki students from Japan. She decided to study the Suzuki method and later became a founding member of the Suzuki Association in Melbourne.

Eugenie is the composer and author of the Possums books for violin, viola and cello distributed Australia-wide. She currently teaches violin and viola in several schools in Melbourne as well as her private studio in Emerald.
