My name is Ewald and I teach Tuba, from as young as the instrument can be picked up! I teach tuba from St George's College music room, which is airconditioned.
I have been teaching music for about 2 years now and have been playing the piano for about 15 years, and have been playing the tuba for about 7 years. I have played in a variety of philharmonic orchestras, symphonic orchestras, brass ensembles, as well as wind orchestras. I currently play in the UWA Wind Orchestra, as well as in the UWA Symphony Orchestra as an auxiliary tuba player.
I am willing to teach any student, and no prior knowledge is required! I specialise teaching in classical tuba, but can also branch out into other genres. I sadly do not have the means to provide students with instruments but can recommend places where they can hire an instrument from. The first lesson is free, and no tuba is required for the student, as it's just a "see what it's about and if you like it" lesson.
I can get hold of all the music required for the lessons and would have no problem preparing students for exams and eisteddfods. I can also help with orchestra or band music that you might be struggling with.
Everyone is welcome, and I look forward to helping develop musical individuals! Thank you for considering me, and I hope to hear from you soon!
