Frances Evans is an accomplished & VIT qualified Double Bass teacher, teaching beginner to advanced students. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education (Secondary) from Melbourne University in 1999, also instructs Cello, Guitar, Piano, Electric Bass, She has been working in Secondary Schools, performing & recording with esteemed Victorian ensembles since graduating, and also teaches composition, whilst working as a freelance bassist for numerous studio recordings and projects. Frances offers individual and group lessons for both children and adults (onsite & zoom – around Dallas and Northcote). Students may learn popular or classical repertoire, relevant techniques& theory, composition techniques and do AMEB examinations. Sight-reading, improvisation& aural comprehension skills will be built to provide foundations to perform in ensembles, also lessons and music sessions offered for NDIS participants!
Instrumental lessons in Double Bass, Electric Bass, Piano, Cello, music theory, guitar. All instruments offered with AMEB Syllabus and Suzuki methods. Lessons are on- site at Jika Jika Community Centre's Oldis in the Park (Northcote),home visits, or in the northern suburbs around Dallas or online with Zoom..
