FRANK JONES is a multi-award winning songwriter and performer as well as a songwriting teacher, collaborator and mentor.
Frank teaches songwriting in schools, at music festivals and privately.
WRITING AND RECORDING:
As well as penning Melbourne's iconic anthem, "My Brown Yarra", Frank has a lifetime of multi-genre songwriting including five albums of his own (2 with his legendary band, the Whirling Furphies) and a multitude of songs written for and co-written with other artists.
Frank's songs have been recorded by Renee Geyer, 360, Gary Pinto, Kavisha Mazzella, Brent Parlane, Margaret RoadKnight, John McAuslan, Mike Jackson.
Frank's co-writing partners include: Ross Wilson, Brent Parlane, Brad Pinto, Gary Pinto, Nathaniel Willemse, Daniel Wayne Spencer, David Hyams, rapper 360.
Frank is highly regarded as a go-to lyricist for many songwriters and performers, earning the title 'The song finisher' for his ability to assist others to complete their songs.

FRANK is actively involved with the local and national songwriting scene.
Frank created and continues to run the monthly Writers' Block songwriter showcase events in Melbourne.
Frank is a regular on the judging panel for the Darebin Songwriters' Award.
Frank regularly performs his songs solo and in a variety of bands including the Whirling Furphies.
FRANK has a wealth of experience teaching songwriting and running songwriting workshops in schools, communities and at music festivals across the country.
