Duth-born drummer, Frans Kat has had a long standing involvement with a variety of drumming styles. He currently performs regularly with the group "Sun of Africa" with renown and highly talented, African dancer and drummer Jean-Marc Agbogba.
In 2007 Frans began an intensive study of African rhythms. He has since performed with a number of notable African musicians such as Karamba Cissoko and his group Seneoz, Dada Nii and his ‘Damushi Ensemble’, Bortier Okoe’s ‘African Soul’, and with Ziggy Mabeye Diagne and Abli Laryea.
