We do not travel to students' houses for lessons however we welcome anyone around the surrounding area to our music studios for lessons.
With over 25 years of teaching experience in Malaysia, Singapore, Melbourne, and now Sydney, Hawa is dedicated to sharing her passion for music. She offers violin lessons to students of all ages, from children to adults, and enjoys fostering a love for music outside her secondary role as a music teacher with Yamaha Music Education Australia where she teaches group keyboard lessons.
Hawa Juzaila began her musical journey at a young age, starting piano lessons at four and violin lessons at seven. She has a rich performance history, including singing with the Suara Mas Choir and Malaysia's National Choir, and performing in Japan. In 1995, she played violin with The Beppu Symphony Orchestra in Japan as part of a student exchange program.
Hawa has also performed with prestigious ensembles such as the Melbourne University Symphonia, Putra Symphony Orchestra, and the National Symphony Orchestra of Malaysia. She was appointed Concert Mistress for the Whampoa Symphony Orchestra in Singapore in 2007 and 2008. Her musical versatility extends beyond classical music to include jazz, pop, and ethnic music. Notably, she performed traditional Malay 'keroncong' music in Holland at the annual Pasar Malam Besar in 2003.
Hawa holds a Bachelor of Music from University Putra Malaysia, with a major in violin and a minor in chamber music. She has studied under esteemed mentors such as Kirstin Kenny (Melbourne Symphony Orchestra), Pablo de Carrera, Muriel Quistad (Malaysia Philharmonic Orchestra), Mustafa Fuzer Nawi (Conductor of National Symphony Orchestra of Malaysia), and Ma Ying Chun (Concertmaster for Tianjin Orchestra, China).
