Gioi studied Acting and Music at Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama in London as an International Scholarship student. She taught acting to all ages at Barking Gecko Theatre Company and other local Perth theatre companies.

She has over 25 years private studio teaching experience and welcomes intermediate to advanced level piano students who are committed to growing. Gioi has 15-years experience as a piano accompanist for WAAPA, AMEB, WACE/TEE, many eisteddfods and choirs, she plays regular solo piano gigs at hotels and other venues.

Gioi’s focus and passion is teaching Musical Theatre singing. She has extensive training and performance experience singing in several genres. She has sung alto in professional choral ensembles and chorus work, performing solo recitals of Art Song, Jazz and Musical Theatre and sings with a local Big Band. She gigs in jazz/pop styles playing keys and singing.

Many of her singing students have been accepted into tertiary study for Voice. All her voice students prepare for the AMEB Musical Theatre Singing examinations.

Gioi trained with several leading performers and pedagogues both in Australia and overseas. She continues to attend lessons, conferences, masterclasses and workshops. Most recently completing Vocal Process pedagogy training in Melbourne in 2019.

She also plays and teaches Violin & Viola, and was Head of Strings at Kingsway Christian College. Gioi worked as a freelance violist in orchestras, ensembles and string quartets. Currently she plays 5-string electric violin for gigs and viola in a string quartet.
