Australian based Malaysian Cellist Hannah Gan graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Teaching. In Malaysia, Hannah learned with Tan Poh Chu and Elizabeth Tan, both are cellists from the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. During her time in Melbourne, Hannah studied with Josie Vains, the head of cello department at University of Melbourne. Hannah has given numerous concerts including solo, chamber and orchestra in Melbourne and Malaysia. The concert halls she has performed include Music Petronas Philharmonic Hall, Melbourne Recital Centre, Melbourne Town Hall, Hamer Hall and etc.
As a cello tutor, Hannah has been teaching cello for more than ten years in Melbourne and Malaysia. She has worked at schools and musical centres including Footscray City Primary School, Tulliallan Primary School, Cellissimo music studio, Star Music Academy and etc. Students enjoy her classes and they achieved outstanding results with their cello performances and exams. Hannah is very happy to help children achieve in AMEB cello exams, local competitions and scholarships in private school.
