Songwriting in the Storyteller tradition

Many people come up to me after my performances and tell me special stories about family or curious tales that they have heard. At the end of their story they say, "I reckon that would make a great song!" And I say, "It would, why don't you write it." And they say, "I don't know how." I can show you how to write that great story into a song.

My great love is songwriting and showing others how to write their best songs. I am a songwriter in the storytelling tradition and have made several albums, won a couple of awards and perform regularly around the folk music circuit.
