I am a Newcastle based musician and music teacher with over 15 years music teaching experience on a variety of musical instruments including all brass instruments, guitar, drums/percussion, clarinet, recorder and piano/keyboard.
As well as teaching instruments, I also teach music theory, musicianship, how to read music, aural skills, harmony and counterpoint, using sibelius, sight reading skills, AMEB preparation, and improvisation.
Other services I offer are music transcription and arrangment, conducting and musical direction for all sized bands, orchestras and choirs including school bands, adjudication, school tuition and accompaniment on guitar, drums and trumpet/cornet.
I studied at the Conservatorium of Music in Newcastle, have years of experience playing in all grades (A - D) of brass and concert bands, as well as experience as section leader in both brass and concert bands. Also 1 year abroad playing in a highly skilled American marching band, playing with Newcastle Jazz Orchestra, and being a member of several "local" bands on a mixture of instruments including guitar, drums and guitar.

I am an experienced music conductor with highly competent knowledge off all orchestral, rock and pop, vocal, brass band etc ranges, level abilities, band grade levels and so forth.
39 years of multiple instrument playing abilities giving not just the theory knowledge, but the practical knowledge; previous concert band conduction former community concert band conductor; work; over 10 years of playing in an A grade brass band; former music conservatorium student.
