I began my musical career in the UK as a member of HM Royal Marines band, travelling the world and performing in some of the most prestigious venues such as 'The White House' and 'Buckingham Palace'. During this time I also graduated from Portsmouth University (UK) with a “Bachelor of Music” degree, majoring in Violin, with secondary studies in Piano and Voice. After graduation I embarked on a 2 teacher training course (PGCE) to enable me to teach classroom music in secondary schools. During this whole time I have been teaching the violin and I began entering students in exams with 100% positive results, which I am very proud of.
I teach Violin and Music Theory Piano through to Advanced level. In more recent years I have begun to teach classroom music to primary school students
As an accomplished violinist I enjoy playing duets with students and am happy to coach for competitions etc
Despite achieving great success in my student’s exams, I have had many students who just learn for their own enjoyment, and she enjoys teaching the vast range of personalities and interest levels that come her way – of all ages, abilities and past experiences. I am happy to teach everything from Classical to Contemporary; any age, any ability; for exams or “just for fun”
I LOVE music and believes that no matter what your age or ability, it is NEVER too late to learn – if you WANT to learn, you CAN!! Whether you want the discipline of working towards an exam, or whether you just want to learn “for fun”, music can be a tremendous benefit to your life in many ways.
To recap - I am an English Violin/Music Teacher with over 20 years experience of professionally playing and teaching the violin. I am also a qualified classroom teacher so I can help with any aspect of music. I teach in a fun and modern way to make the lesson fun and interesting. Come and check me out and see how I can help you realise your musical dreams!!
