I began studying the clarinet at the age of 10. I has completed a Bachelor’s Degree with first class Honours in Classical Music Performance at the Elder Conservatorium of Music in Adelaide, South Australia. While doing so, I studied under the tutelage of Dean Newcomb, principal clarinet of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. I have moved to Canberra to undertake a Master Degree of Secondary Teaching.
I is also an experienced saxophone player, having performed on the instrument in a number of settings. I have performed on both clarinet and saxophone in musicals, community wind and symphony orchestras, and chamber ensembles. I believesstrongly in providing a positive and fun learning experience while encouraging students to improve technically. I enjoy getting to know her students in order to provide the best learning environment for each person. I am excited to help her students achieve their goals with their music.
