Helene is a highly-trained, experienced vocal teacher. She has a deep understanding of vocal anatomy, physiology and vocal health, having studied both vocal pedagogy and speech pathology at the University of Sydney. Her teaching method reflects her strong curiosity about the inner workings of the human voice and its interaction with our mind, emotions and body state. Helene loves expanding her students' musical knowledge and introduce them to a whole new world of musical discovery!
Helene focuses on developing a healthy and sustainable vocal technique that enables you to freely sing with your own unique sound and connect fully with the emotions in the music that you love.
Helene appreciates the importance of finding creative ways to fit singing practice into a busy life! She will work with you to set achievable goals and help you to progress using smart, detailed practice plans and schedules.
Helene has prepared many students for AMEB exams, HSC Music extension programs, eisteddfods and auditions for musicals and tertiary entry, both in her private practice and as a voice teacher at Sydney Grammar School and St Andrew's Cathedral School. She has also taught individual voice lessons to postgraduate vocal pedagogy students at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and adjudicated voice at the Sydney Eisteddfod.
