Hilda Visser-Scott

I have been teaching piano for over 18 years in Europe, Australia, South Africa and the USA. In France and Italy where I also studied music, I worked as accompanist and chamber musician, Piano, Aural and Music Theory Teacher. During my time in New York I worked as Piano & French teacher. I prepared students for the Juilliard School of Music Summer School Program, the NYSSMA (New York State Music Evaluation as well as the Princeton University Piano Competition. I also worked as accompanist for broadway & opera auditions, recitals and exams. I became a Steinway Certified Educational Partner in 2014, awarded by Steinway & Sons New York. I returned to Canberra mid 2015 and I am currently teaching piano at the Wesley Music Foundation and in Ainslie. I've also been teaching Aural, Music Theory and Music History at the Australian National University & ANU College since 2017. I prepare students for the AMEB, ABRSM, Trinity Guildhall Piano and Theory exams as well as Eisteddfods and concerts.
