Violin lessons

My name is Honami and I am a violin teacher and performer with over 14 years of experience, and I love helping students enjoy and grow through music.
I studied at the 100% selective Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School in Melbourne and am currently completing a Bachelor of Music Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium, studying with the prestigious American teacher, Associate Professor Timothy Kantor.
I hold AMusA and LMusA level qualifications, and have won a number of competitions. I’ve performed with orchestras such as the flagship Australian Youth Orchestra, and have also toured Germany and Czechia with the Melbourne String Ensemble.
In lessons, I aim to create a relaxed and supportive space where students feel comfortable to learn. I use both Suzuki and AMEB approaches, and I always adapt my teaching to suit each student’s pace, goals, and interests.
I look forward to meeting you soon!
