Be honest, have you ever listened to your favourite song and pretended to be performing it yourself? Well, with the right music teacher these ambitious daydreams can become a rewarding and impressive reality.

I’m a guitar and music theory teacher keen to share my passion for music with my clients. I’m an experienced guitarist with a Bachelor of Music degree from the British Institute of Modern Music (BIMM), and a background in performance and teaching young students. I’m adept at instructing absolute beginners and more experienced players as well as students of any age. I’m excellent at teaching in a wide variety of styles: classical, jazz, funk, pop, and rock and well practiced at preparing students for grade exams from ABRSM, Trinity, RGT, and Rockschool.

My lessons are always fun and different - I refuse to go down the typical, boring route of simply giving you a sheet of paper with music to learn and sitting with you as you practice it. Instead, I use a range of activities, and games that takes your interest to create a fun-filled learning experience. This means that you will enjoy playing the guitar more, thereby making you inclined to practice more often. It also means that you will have a great time during every one of our lessons together. I find that making the classes entertaining encourages my students to regularly practice thus making them both more effective and more enjoyable.

My services are totally bespoke – from the start, I customise my lessons to suit your individual experience level, preferences and ultimate goals.
